Program Summary

Matches: Mondays, 4:00 - 7:00p (courses vary by division)

Practices: Wednesdays, 4:30 - 5:30p (Wilmette Golf Course)

Varsity Golf is a Spring sport for girls and boys in grades 7 - 8 for the Spring 2025 season. The 2025 Season will run from Apr 7 thru May 26. Matches are held on Mondays and practices are held on Wednesdays for 1 hour held at Wilmette Golf Club. Instructors  teach driving, chipping, putting, swing technique and much more! Participants must provide their own golf clubs or coordinate rentals with the golf club.

The 2025 golf season will consist of 5 matches (on Mondays) hosted by St. A's, SFX, OLPH, FHC, SMLF, and Sacred Heart. Each competition will be a 9-hole match.  The competitions are open to 7th - 8th graders. The objective is to train players in a fun and encouraging environment with their friends from schools across our league, while also teaching students how to problem solve and manage situations during competition. 

There are 2 divisions in the CII-3A Golf League; the Loyola Division (competitive level) will play 5-6 matches on Mondays at courses across the NorthShore. The Ignatius Division (beginner-intermediate level) can anticipate playing at Weber Park in Skokie each Monday. Matches will begin ~week of 4/14. Tee-times are scheduled on a weekly-basis and are a requirement for match participation. Scheduling is managed through the app Golf Genius - more instructions will be provided closer to the season.

All participants will be required to pass the Golf Etiquette quiz prior to their first practice. Please refer to the CII-3A Golf League Portal below to access the League handbook.

*Registration fees includes golf instruction fees, course time for clinics, and team polos. Greens fees are not included in registration fees and will be considered "pay as you play"
